This is borderline dad joke for me. I heard it 20 years ago so i don’t know. Is there a separate category for antique memes? Lol

Renters insurance is your friend. Might be a good idea to look into, it’s cheap af and covers things like this.
So I took some time earlier and looked on Samsungs website to see what the current offers are. They are all terrible! Everything is so freaking expensive. Even our phone is still $500. It’s crazy.
I was thinking s23 before, but that is completely unfeasible. Looks like she’s getting an S21 FE. 🤷♂️
It’s not so much that I’m scared. I mean I know I could overcome just about anything it might throw my way, but the hassle isn’t worth it.
I fucking hate being in an “ecosystem”, but at least this one is fairly open and allows some tinkering. So far so good on durability and performance from my Samsung products.
When I upgrade my gf’s phone soon, it’ll most likely be an s23 because she also has a watch and buds. So yeah. I guess i’m as big a sucker as anyone else.
Ah fair enough man. I’ll tell you my problem, is that as much as I’d like to try other brands like Sony or whatever, my watch, earbuds, and TVs are all Samsung and everything works pretty well together (for the most part), so I’m hesitant to potentially fuck that up.
Do what I did and just get the screen fixed man. The s20 fe is such a good phone, I can’t justify the cost of a new model when this one is more than fine. Little to no battery or performance drop after 2 years.
Dropping knowledge bombs. Saltmen, who woulda thought lol
Amazing! Thank you for sharing. I’ve heard about the wanting heavier cars and over inflating your tires before, but I had never considered the powerband before.
I’ve watched a few things about land speed machines and it’s truly fascinating. Especially the aero stuff. Aero seems to be the epitome example of dunning Kruger, as the more you know, the more you realize you don’t know. (as I’ve been told)
That was a really cool picture too. When it rains like that, does the salt stay hard underneath or is it muddy?
That’s an amazing story! I’ve never been out west, but Bonneville would be awesome. Over 400 on salt sounds absolutely nuts.
Did you ever determine what was causing the spins? Aero or mechanical?
I’m super jealous. I live for motorsport so yeah, I’d be down to hear any cool stories! (No obligation, just curious)
Def need an AMA. Or whatever we call it here. What kind of racing?
Gotta break it back out! I just beat it last week. My first souls game. Starting NG+ now
Lol you win
A little, yeah.
Who do you think you are?
You nailed it, my friend
So many comments that are backspaced into oblivion after thinking “do I care enough to subject my ideas to the public sphere?” " Will my voice be heard or make any difference?"
If the answer to both is no, which it usually is… I just let it go and move on with my day.
Yeah I forgot all about that
I feel like, to an extent, the privacy ship left port a long time ago, and that bitch is nuclear powered. Without social media (other than this/reddit) I don’t feel like I’m giving any more info than I would be otherwise.
Don’t take that as a disregard for my privacy though, I do take steps to protect myself within reason and budget (read: free/open).
I’m just not convinced that spending extra energy and time to lock things down further will see the returns, real or imagined, that justifies the effort. I’m open to new ideas though!
I hope I’m not wrong down the road, but considering I’m a literal nobody on the grand scale without aspirations for political office, I think I’ll be ok… I think.
I know it’s cool to hate on it, but Edge is legit my favorite browser. All the tools and functionality of chrome and it’s extensions, with all the office and student tools that come in Edge.
Stuff like the Immersive Reader, Cite Tools, Collections, and a bunch of other stuff make it my favorite browser for now.
You do, but its generally a lot less than repairs or a new laptop. I’ll give you my example… My laptop is a 2021 Razer 14 The power port had a broken connector on the inside, and since the way it was made the port was part of the motherboard, the repairs for that power port were going to be over $1700 on a $2300 laptop.
Renters insurance was definitely the less painful option. Just one of those things that may only be useful on rare occasions, but when it is, it really is.
