I back a running trainer on Kickstarter called Vi. When I got it is was insanely uncomfortable, drained my phone battery on an hour via the companion app and did not work for runs longer than 10 minutes. It was absolutely dog shit.

I am a travel and outdoors enthusiast, I love being outside and experiencing a new city or the wilderness, but also, phones are powerful technology that allow us to find directions or look up where to go.

The real issue isn’t that we are using it, it’s that they are being used to collect and sell our data for advertising, that algorithms are designed to keep us on our phone instead of experiencing the world.

If you are wondering where you are on the curve, you likely aren’t too bad. Simply recognizing that you may not know everything is a bit step along the curve

There is more to it than that. You may be able to be trained in a few hours, but mastery and efficiency come with time. Someone who works in retail or farming can output more productivity in a shorter amount of time than an average person. It’s not about how long it takes to train someone to start the job, it’s the mastery you learn over time. As you do a job longer, your productivity increases, as you move deeper and develop more skill at the job.

There is no such thing as unskilled labor.

Socialist countries are not, the entire Scandinavian block are super socialist, and not authoritarian.

As for Communist countries, no one has actually implemented communism, only in name. Communism means the workers, not the state, control the means of production. The state controlling them allows for bad actors to seize control.
