Yes, let people do what they want.
Yes, let people do what they want.
Just check if it’s legal first.
Or if they copy the data from the servers, as it isn’t e2e, the data is unencrypted on the server (or usually encrypted on the server with keys accesible by people working there) as far as I know.
Well, I won’t enjoy loosing ~1060€ for the license, but I feel like I would at least enjoy driving a car.
Well, the quad-core i5 still works decently on my latitude, but it has ~30000 geekbench score.
Wow, thanks. I’m kind off sceptical of the aliexpress adapters and I don’t even know if the tape player even works. I might test it with some kind of religious tape from my grandma.
If you aren’t listening to C’est la Vie by Bewitched, you are good, but the Sabrina (animated) theme song is actually decent.
But if a city is already ruined or you live in a village without a bus station, it makes travel a lot easier.
Not yet there, but it will probably be something on the radio, as I don’t have any tapes (which is the only thing it supports). Could I still buy them anywhere?
Well, if you are in the market for a smaller laptop, don’t buy the x280, as it isn’t upgradable, buy a Latitude 5290 with the same specs as t480, but with a horrendous display and no trackpoint. It has decent build quality and the same upgradability as the t480. You could find it used under 200$ easily.
How is a t480 old? It’s around 7 years old.
Well, my mom is a computer engieneer, who had me reflash a phone from work and install libreoffice on her windows laptop (to be fair none of her coworkers could reflash the phone and the second one was probably just lazyness).
You can take care of privacy on your personal hardware, but with work issued devices, you can’t.
Or people, like my mom, who are were relatively educated about technology and don’t want to learn new technologies/tools under the pretense of security (even if the software is foss, like again most adblockers.
Edit: Whenever I use a browser without an adblocker, I remember how shitty the web is without them.
What about laptop webcams on work/school issued hardware?
Wow that’s actually a great app. Thanks.
Well, there is no support from privacy roms, but I can survive with lineageos+microg (with somewhat decent updates) on redmi 4x. There is support for poco f5 and redmi 12 from crdroid, which supports microg and is apparently decent. Cheaper options usually have mediatek processors (mediatek doesn’t opensource their software or release fw blobs), so the support on those phones is terrible. Support on snapdragon xiaomis is still way better, then on samsung, oppo, etc.
Xiaomis and some other chinease brands have decent custom rom support, but no grapheneos and no bootloader relocking (except some oneplus phones)
Well, not anymore… Ehm icloud scanning
