They’re not, but they’re currently committing 0 (zero) genocides.
They’re not, but they’re currently committing 0 (zero) genocides.
I mean this itself isn’t a problem, because who the fuck builds their headquarters in the middle of nowhere? But it’s ironic given they keep crying about Hamas headquarters being in residential areas (again, who builds their headquarters in the middle of nowhere).
Israel is a country-sized military base that mostly pays for itself, and has one of the best intelligence agencies in the world (or maybe their rivals are just that bad). If Israel didn’t exist the Middle East would probably be much more united by now under the leadership of one or two regional powers instead of everyone but Iran and Syria being a US proxy.
Remember that many of those Jewish Americans are either anti-zionists or don’t care either way. Meanwhile almost every single Muslim American cares about the issue and will likely vote Democrat if they do anything but actively cooperate with genocide.
I see. That makes sense.
Not will be. Is. The blowback from last time was, among other things, Hezbollah.
I mean Iran doesn’t have nuclear weapons but they do have a nuclear program and it’s very easy to go from there to nukes. Correct me if I’m wrong but AFAIK the principle behind nukes is pretty simple and it’s modern geopolitics that makes them hard to get.
Israel has amassed such an arsenal, it can continue this shit on it’s own for a good while. An arms embargo would still be appropriate though
No way. First they can’t use some of those weapons without US approval. They’re made that way. Second, if they were running a more normal terror campaign (like shock and awe for example) that’d be correct, but they’re not. They’re carpet bombing Gaza and Lebanon using “precision” airstrikes. It’s an incredibly wasteful method of genocide that only has the advantage of being able to say “but we’re targeting terrorists”. No way they can keep up this nonsense without unlimited US weapons. Third, Israel would be eaten alive by its neighbors without US diplomatic (or “diplomatic”) support. Do you understand how much support any middle eastern leader would get by sayint “We’ll go fight Israel to save our Palestinian brothers”? The only reason it’s not happening and even Iran is leaving the job to its militias is because of the US carrot and stick.
Isn’t it only two fronts? I don’t think there’s much fighting going on in the West Bank, only one-sided slaughter.
I mean yes these are all Palestinian resistance leaders.
I can say a lot of things about how this take makes 0 sense, but first can I remind you that 9/11 was 20 years ago? Everyone who could legally vote at that time is at least 40 now. A good third of the US wasn’t even born yet.
Uh… What? I don’t know what Christians believe but Muslims do believe everyone holds responsibility for their actions (barring extenuating circumstances). You don’t need to be an edgy atheist all the time.
It would be great if you actually lived by your own words and engaged with the topic at hand
I literally did that by asking if there’s another source. I only cited MBFC because they did fact checks of the site (with a healthy dose of bias, admittedly). I wasn’t trying to cite the reliability or bias ratings because I know they’re basically arbitrary.
MBFC is heavily biased in favor of Israel.
Yeah I know that, and in fact am not one to trust their ratings unconditionally, but they don’t outright lie to my knowledge.
Their failed fact checks appear to be three videos which predated the article and were thus misreports.
Yeah that makes sense.
Western newspapers should have had all their falsified reports about beheaded babies rated as misinformation but those are not mentioned.
Definitely true.
Is western media unbiased?
Nope. Which is why I also don’t take Western media’s reporting on Palestine for granted.
China is probably maintaining a front of neutrality while giving Iran economic support like they’re doing for Russia.
I mean in the short term no but remember that it was Israel having to fight Egypt and Syria after they actually got their armies up to modern standards to give up on Sinai. Their delusions of invincibility fuel much of Israel’s treatment of Palestinians neighboring states, so a good reminder of the lesson they learned in the 6th of October (aka Yom Kippur) might help.
Israel has spent so much time running over Palestinians they need to remember what it’s like to fight a real army.
Apparently they failed three fact checks on mediabiasfactcheck.com, so you can check that. Also even if they don’t falsely report they can omit information or put a spin on things (for example in this case there could be other targets in this round of bombings that don’t sound as good and were left out). In these cases it’s better as a rule to compare the reporting with that of other sources.
Don’t you hear? It’s a popular Palestinian pastime (alliterations anyone?) to pass by the Mossad on your way to work and cry over the atrocities committed against your people.
