I’d love to try TL. I’m in another private tracker, but it isn’t great if I’m being honest.
Trust me that’s not the reason
Magnesium chloride also works well as a dust suppressant. I used to manufacture the stuff
And also twin screw polymer extruders
Of what she says is true, it sounds like they really did do what they could for the man.
I moved to VA and took basically the same job. I technically make less that I did in CA, but here I can actually own a home and save. California needs to do something about their CoL crisis.
I lived there and made $90k a year. Lived like 50 minutes from work, still paid $2.5k per month for a 500sqft studio and qualified as low income for the area. If people making that much are considered low income, something has failed.
Is this a shitpost? Some new copypasta I haven’t seen before?
Just fulinished A Deepness in the Sky by Vernor Vinge. Didn’t enjoy as much as A Fire Upon the Deep, but it was still a good space opera. Some uncomfortable sex scenes though.
I use GigaRapid, andnive got no complaints so far. Good speeds, wish I had more storage space, but a lot of their options were sold out when I signed up
Big “if you’re innocent, you’ve got nothing to hide” energy. I can be innocent and still not want unnecessary interaction with police and appreciate my privacy
Being able to run video games or other hardware intensive process would either require pricey hardware or they’d be streamed from a cloud service (which comes with a whole other bundle of issues to consider) as that computational power has to come from something physical somewhere. Offloading your OS to the cloud wouldn’t affect that. PCs can already be accessed by phone if you have the right set up (dedicated IP hosting and a VPN) As for saving data in case of emergencies, we already have cloud based storage solutions that wouldn’t be impacted by cloud based OS.
There is 0 reason to use a cloud based OS other than making sure people are tied to your service for the life of their computer. This feels like a solution to a problem no one has.
So if I don’t have an internet connection, I can’t even boot my computer?
Big “you’ll own nothing and be happy” energy.
Be prepared. I love Enderal but it is unforgiving. Not to say it’s bad, but it’s following a different design ethos than Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls.
Also prepare for an emotional roller coaster
Agree to disagree I guess. I think protecting ideas is an important safeguard that encourages people to take the risk of investing in research.
You can’t patent things that aren’t a process or a product, so no you can’t patent genes.
Patents take quite a bit of effort to write up if you really want to protect your intellectual property, and their scope is pretty narrow. The patent holder can also license with interested parties if they want.
Patents are incredibly important for R&D as without them, there is no protection of IP
FM08, different mountains. Glad to see there’s some hams on here though!
The problem with this is entropy. Heat dissipated to the environment is highly entropic (more disorganized, less useful heat/energy), and to effectively extract it, you’d need to reduce the entropy, which requires more energy that you would get from the heat you recovered.
