So what, we’re supposed to watch and support poor quality media in the hopes that eventually a piece gold shows up in the turd pile?
No, if they make good content people pay for it, if they don’t make good content then they can’t whine.

My work had something like this to detect drug usage on premises for a while (it was and is a problem still) and it costed like 30k capital and 2-3 opex a year. We had it for like a year and only took it out because there were too many false flags and security didn’t and doesn’t have the staff to be chasing down every alert anyway.
It was neat that on paper it was able to detect different drugs, heroin, weed, meth all flagged different alerts with 2 of those contacting police when detected. Unfortunately it was only like 70% accurate and we didn’t/don’t have enough security staff to use it properly so it’s gone now.
The Nazis sentenced to death at the Nuremberg trials were people, but they still deserved what they got
I mean, I don’t want the world ending in nuclear fire, no matter the alternative.
No but we have to be very careful about handling Russia because of it. The world was terrified when the Soviet Union collapsed because of all the nuclear ordinance they were sitting on now being potentially insecure. Luckily it didn’t get dispersed and used by random warlords fighting in a power vacuum, that time, there’s no guarantee the same happens if Russia or America fail as states now
Even if a collapsing America doesn’t use it, I would be very concerned about all of it ending up in the hands of whatever successor state(s) and what they might do with it. A major concern of the world with the Soviet Union collapse was the status of the nukes and making sure random warlords and terrorist groups didn’t somehow get ahold of the nukes or fissile materials from the nukes since they likely couldn’t attain the nuke and launch code
America is sitting on enough nuclear ordinance to end the earths period of habitability… if she falls then who knows what happens with those nukes, is that really a future you want to risk?
Unfortunately much of the world is going in the same direction… really worrying to see. A third great war seems inevitable in our lifetimes
Yep, I want marketing to not exist. If your product or service is good then its reputation will stand on its own and spread via word of mouth. Billboards and ads should be criminal as they ruin our scenery and waste our time
Not until vast portions of the global economy fail and the residents of the 1st world start feeling the hunger and hardships the 3rd world has been feeling for a long time
When I vacation in Europe I stay in apart-hotels that have space, kitchenettes, etc. Just stayed in one in Munich a week or two ago even.
They exist in Europe like most nice things that make sense do… not in the USA though. Our hotels suck, the only other option is airbnb of someone’s home which is often OVER equipped and sized for short stays.
We need an in between but I don’t see it being made due to our awful zoning law issues and if they were to exist they’ll likely be overpriced
Yea but the good side won it so alls well that ends well right!?!?!?!
American schools cover the civil and 2 great wars because those were the last times we were arguably the good guys. Every war since has been a conflict we started by meddling or we had no good reason to be there
Are you sure you weren’t in a remedial school? lol
Yea mine isn’t plug in either, still get mid 40s mpg though which is great. 600 miles on a tank is fantastic for an suv. I might’ve gotten plug in but the dealers didn’t want to or couldn’t answer any questions on them and really fet like they didn’t want to show/sell them
Nice, you just missed it then, congrats on having a non-annoying hybrid! See you at the pumps once a month or so
Must’ve been an addition on newer models then, I’ve heard it on a few others and the ford dealership says they have to have it. Some quick googling right before buying it brought up forums where ford owners figured out how to disable it though
Mines a 2021 escape, as soon as it’s put into reverse it has external beeps like a box truck to warn people since it’s in electric propulsion and makes almost no noise.
Apparently with a laptop and some time you can disable the loud ass reverse beeping Ford makes their hybrids do. Probably illegal but it’s super annoying sounding like a giant work truck to back up my escape and no cop is going to say anything if my car doesn’t beep since 99% of consumer cars don’t do it
Yea they were an affordable option for like 2 years then became a novelty that trust fund kids use for a few years before settling into mansions.
My mom bought some land (.5 acre)and built a tiny home on it, cost over $100k altogether still for a 700sqft 1b/1bth with a loft that can have a sleeping bag if needed but is really storage. Works for her needs and is half the cost of any of the homes in her town that are all falling down but still 200k for some reason…
