KVM switch looks like it could work, since I don’t want to switch a USB switch and then still have to switch monitor input. Just need to find one with both an HDMI input and a DP input.

I second all of your statements. I don’t care if my Apple TV is on WiFi, but my gaming desktop is most definitely hooked to an Ethernet cable. I also use a wired keyboard and mouse on it, but I’ll admit I have a cheap wireless keyboard and mouse for my work laptop because I didn’t want to deal with another set of cables on the same desk, and I can’t think of a good solution for both machines to share the same keyboard and mouse without having to switch the cables between them all the time.
Is there anything better about LibreWolf that can’t be achieved by altering Firefox settings?
I worked in retail until 2016, and a few years before I left they switched all the PoS registers to Linux.
Is that an RD 350 LC?! I’ve never actually seen one in person, only in pictures.
You mean the SSD chipset, or the does the enclosure have a chipset, too?
The M.2 enclosure I have gets extremely hot during periods of extended use like installing an OS or transferring large amounts of data. Not sure if it’s a problem with other enclosures, but it’s something to consider.
Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. There’s an old Dish Network dish on my roof from the last owner. I need to get an outdoor antenna and find a way to mount it on the dish.
I downloaded an app that came with my antenna that shows where the station broadcast antennas are, but unfortunately the room I’m using it in is on the south side of my house, and the two stations I can’t get are North of me
I need to get a better antenna. I can get Fox and ABC, but NBC and CBS must be too far away.
That’s not a bad idea. There’s actually a Unitarian church about two miles from my house. Last time I drove by there was a MAGA across the street shouting into a bullhorn, so that should at least make it interesting.
I’ve had this same question a hundred times. Seems like a lot of people find a sense of community in church, but I’m non-religious and I haven’t found a replacement.
Wasn’t there something you could do with those and the VMU?
Hmmm…I’m not terribly familiar with Intel systems, but from what I can tell, everything looks compatible. Assuming all the power cables are hooked up where the should be for the motherboard, CPU, etc, some motherboards are picky about which slots the RAM is plugged into. Are they numbered? Like A1, B1, A2, B2? It’s also possible one of your memory modules might be defective. Try removing one of them and see what happens.
Are the mouse and keyboard plugged into ports on the motherboard I/O panel?
Does the motherboard support the processor/RAM you’re using?
Is the RAM seated correctly?
Does your motherboard support onboard video? Does your CPU have onboard graphics? If you’re using a separate GPU, is your monitor plugged into the GPU, or the motherboard?
Are you getting any error lights?
What components are you using (motherboard, processor, RAM, video card, etc)?
Without more information, it’s difficult for anyone to know how to help.
I use rechargeable AAs and AAAs in all of my remotes, controllers, mice, etc, and the kids’ toys are so chaotic that I wouldn’t put anything in them I wasn’t willing to lose, so the batteriser has literally no value to me. I’m sure I’m not the only one.
I used to work at Sears, and I could never figure out how a company that found its initial success in a catalog business didn’t immediately see the opportunities the internet presented. Now Sears is all but gone, and Bezos gets to go to space with Shatner :(
Windows 11 won’t work on my laptop. Installed Linux a few weeks ago. Works better now than it did with Windows 10.
Sweet nectar!
