If you want it the safest use the official Monero wallet. Or what I use and trust cakewallet. It can also do bitcoin in case you use that too…

I have no Facebook or Instagram etc and never had. And I have friends and meet people. I think people who are interested in you have no problem with your stand even changing the username all the time is a bit strange haha
You don’t need shelter. Create a multiple user account one just for that app… on GrapheneOS. It is totally isolated from the rest. You can use a vpn just in that user profile too
Used proton from almost day one, and moved a few months ago to skiff. I like what they offer and how they improve and implement
You can! On android even within the settings.
I am super confused?! You charge 299 usd for something a browser can do for free.
Switched a while back from proton to skiff and loving it. Also the send emails later feature is great.
Do I miss a post to you just said brave browser?
Let me try then
Firefox
Signal is a privacy first app. Do I wish it would not use a telephone number? Absolutely! But they never claim to be anonymous. This said with something like https://juicysms.com you can register signal and many other services with a number in the USA, the Netherlands or the UK (the Netherlands is the best option here)
If you look for an app what don’t need a telephone number check simplex or session. Perhaps something like the matrix protocol and element would be a great option too.
This is actually more than welcome. I never understood why you could have your signal on your phone and ipad, but not on two phones. Applaud molly to do so!
Skiff is pretty good, I switched from proton over as they had a good one year promo and I found it fits better on what I need. The drive and page setup is pretty good too and so is the calendar. Overall I like skiff and they update and add a lot almost weekly. Big fan so far
You could use DNS and stick with Vanadium. AdGuard, nextdns, decloudus, Mullvad… all good for ad blocking and probably more effective as it’s system wide
Metager.org could also be a good daily drive
Check decloudus.com
Yes for the browser i agree, sadly apps have trackers and ads too. A dns can be useful if it’s system wide for all that stuff. Nextdns, adguard, rethinkdns or decloudus comes to mind
Home grown taste like a real tomato, the super Market once taste mostly like water
As far as I remember, that was back in 2021, and except some Meta data not much what could been shared. If they have been approached under Swiss law, nothing can be done.
I would say elementary is easy for new users? What did I miss haha. This said I go with fedora or popos for new users.
Jitsi, perhaps matrix (element), signal (has tell number) works too. Threema also added video into it… and an unpopular one brave (has it without signing in, within the browser)
You can do this. But you need to use rethinkdns and download the configuration of the proton vpn wireguard server(s) you wanna reach. You can have internet blocked for individual apps, have some tunnel without VPN but DNS and firewall protection and some go through servers of proton (even per app to different servers). It’s a powerful tool. You won’t get the same protection as you would get with let’s say GrapheneOS but you are getting damn close to it if done right
