Same here. I heard they released a handful of new upper tier pals but I’ll wait for the next major revision to go back
I think the GPU being separately upgradable on the 16" pokes a tiny hole in your argument. But I generally agree, there’s not too much that is saved or retained when upgrading. But for some people it’s worth it, if they’re reusing the ram, SSD, Wi-Fi card in addition to the parts you mention, AND they’re not too rough on the case, screen, and keyboard/trackpad.
Guys we need AI on our blockchain web3.0 iot. Just imagine the synergy
Depends on how much they paid in the 90s. Panels were 10-20x more expensive back then. And it’s a 1kw array so like 40mwh over its 30 year lifespan.
I didn’t downvote but wine turbines are not easily recyclable due to all the fiberglass and resin. They’re finding new uses but lots still get buried in landfills when they’re decommissioned
Yeah it looks like a transflective LCD with an (optional) almost orange internal light. Would it make a decent e-reader or note taking device, sure, but it’s not e ink.
So like 4-5c roughly if the 90-100% charge rate is similar to the 0-90%. Way lower than some of the lithium cells I’ve seen at 30+c
Agreed. If they’d just put a right analog stick in there somewhere it would have been awesome. The vibrators just don’t provide the right tactile feedback
No, they’re aware. They’re just hoping the shareholders aren’t.
I would have assumed that it wasn’t in Sweden since like 2012 when Sony bought it Ericsson, but it looks like Sony Mobile ab got rolled into Sony Nordic a couple years ago. So they actually may still be designed in Sweden.
It’ll even play videos that are actively downloading
I see a lot of downvotes on your comments on this thread and I wonder if it’s due to differences in nationality/geography/jurisdiction. In the USA I know we give free smartphones with working Wi-Fi to people with low incomes as a part of the lifeline program. Some of the libraries I’ve been to even have staff on hand to help low income people find out about these sorts of benefits, and even help them sign up. Maybe they don’t have this sort of program where you’re from?
And I know most people DO carry their phones with them wherever they go these days assuming they haven’t forgotten it somewhere.
Am I missing something? To me, in my area, these limitations would be a choice the user has made.
160x120 if anyone didn’t feel like clicking.
iirc you can get that resolution or better from a USBC thermal camera dongle
Wait there’s an astral photography mode on the pixels? I’ve gotten some half decent star photos with just the night shot mode and 2 second exposure, but I’ll have to look for it next time I’m outside at night.
If your bank has mobile deposit use that so you can keep the physical check
While the leak contained information for more than 70 million people, AT&T is now saying that it impacted a total of 51,226,382 customers.
So 51 million customers, and 19 million FORMER customers.
Not disagreeing, because you’re right that the differences you’d see are minimal, but did want to add that latency & random I/o is better on most nvme than most SATA SSD. And that would be somewhat beneficial for an OS drive in my opinion. But the difference would probably not be noticeable, as you said.
You could go with a 2.5in SSD in a USB enclosure. I think OP was just suggesting this as the highest performance option.
Honestly the OG stream controller would have been perfect if they could find a way to fit a 2nd analog stick on there
