In my mind (56yo programmer), web 1.0 was static web pages and server side stuff (e.g. PHP) only. Web 2.0 was AJAX (server fetches via JavaScript) and then the resulting APIs. To me Web 3.0 aught to be a similarly massive change in how information is delivered.
I think it’s going to take a Microsoft catastrophe, something that disables machines for at least a few days. I’m thinking maybe a buggy windows update.
I have a CentOS 6.8 server that I backup with:
dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb conv=sync,noerror bs=4M
Of course change the sda/sdb to whatever your source(backup drives are
It’s a long game. A connection with one for decades might be eclipsed by a connection with the other for a day
Only up to calc 2?! Why did they make me take Calc 3, Numerical Analysis, Discrete Math, and Sets and Logic?!
Preferably something that has a similar flavor - example: male host, muscular, easy to digest. I think that will make the transition easier.
You don’t think much of your sibling do you?
Compliment. I love being able to do all the parts of modern software.

My Optiplex 7060 defaults to RAID mode for SATA drives when there’s a drive in the M.2 slot. Maybe yours is set for RAID too?
I’ve put kubuntu on a couple of machines now and I’m pretty happy with it.
I have re-read The Lord of the Rings and all of Larry Niven’s books (many in the Ringworld universe).
I have this problem too. Kubuntu 22.04. The PC will sleep and then randomly I’ll see that it’s awake again. One theory I have is that KDE connect events on my phone are waking it?
I think it’s naive to believe either the Israelis or Hamas haven’t engaged in sexual violence given its prevalence in warzones
The story wasn’t that there was sexual violence, but that it was systematic. The point being that it was ordered and encouraged from above.
My brother’s TRS-80 CoCo in 1983, at least until I got a TI-99/4A of my own the next year. But the real fun didn’t get going until I got the 32k expansion cartridge and started assembly language. Now 40 years later and a degree and career in CIS…
How about being a mason, I need one for brick work and they are hard to find. Home inspections is a good one too.
Could not set them down… except the last one. Jumping 25 years into the future was a strange choice and, for me, less entertaining.
Love my Allbirds for just this reason, I machine wash them about every 2 months or so
