Using two different browsers should be the norm imo. One for comfort, performance and compatibility, like Chrome, Edge or Opera, and the other one for privacy, like Firefox, UGC, Tor, DDG, etc.

I already replaced my search engine, my social media and my Reddit.
Do you want me to replace my email too, Google?
Used Mastodon for a bit a few years ago, but it wasn’t popular enough so I didn’t get much out of it at the time. Now, I basically prefer Mastodon and Calckey to Twitter, unless I want to see what my Twitter mutuals are doing, most of which are artists.
I pretty much replaced Reddit with Lemmy, and might even delete my Reddit account at some point. I think I’m not visiting this website often enough, but that’s because it’s not as tantalizing as Reddit, especially on web. But I do want to visit this place more often. I don’t want to miss out on what’s happening.
Threads when isolated from this community: GOOD.
Threads when federated with this community: NOT GOOD.
It is your choice whether to use it or not. The Fediverse is like the Linux of social media, I like it more here and on other fedi apps than on the corporate social media.
You can make Firefox crazy fast if you fiddle with the settings and with the ublock origin enough. There’s no reason to be using Chromium unless you’re daily driving a website that doesn’t support the Gecko engine
The second link for me when searching for Lemmy on Google is the link to the “Join Lemmy” website. Surprisingly, Brave Search, which has seemingly no search bubbles or accounts, shows the same.
Reddit was my primary social media page for over 2 years now.
Now that it’s practically gone, finding good alternatives is hard.
Stremio has been useless until I got fiber internet. Now it’s my preferred way to watch stuff.
