That’d be awesome. Unfortunately most of my experience (and I realize that is my experience) has so many packages dependencies that 50MB is impossible.

Don’t get me wrong, I am proficient in JS/TS so being able to work handily in NodeJS is great, less context switching, but I feel like so many companies I contract for just jam a square peg into a round hole because - and it just makes things painful.

I mean, for myself personally if it were written in NodeJS or Python or something I’d be less interested.

And I don’t even care about Rust. It’s just that everything and their sister is written in NodeJS and Python. I say this as someone who founded a company that uses Python.

Also the more I hear about actual Rust adoption the more willing I am to consider it for the next big thing.

Less thin, I hate this constant race to be the thinnest phone - lighter I would maybe be for - but thinner, fuck off.

Why I didn’t buy a Fold7 recently:

• Too thin
• Cameras slightly below other flagships
• No S Pen support, because they wanted to make it thinner
• Bad water resistance
• Awful battery size and life
• Overall, one of the more underpowered and under spec’d foldable on the global market - all because they wanted to be thin

I mean I pay like…$15/yr which isn’t bad and I can nearly cap my 5gbit line and not have to deal with seeding.

Replace torrenting with usenet, but absolutely yes.

I was more poor back then, certified mail cost extra, also getting to the post office during business hours was nearly impossible.

But I understand the logic (maybe moreso now…) - but poor me was too busy just trying to get by day to day and survive.

I had a landlord that would let you mail checks to get around it. But the leasing docs explicitly stated there was a 6% fee for every day rent was late and rent wasn’t considered received until the check cleared.

So we had to mail the check like 2 weeks in advance in case it didn’t arrive quickly enough and then sometimes he’d deposit it 1-2 after receipt and then it’d be a nail biter if it fully cleared in the 24-72 hours necessary for him not to consider it “late”.

I hate that guy and he’s like 90 now and still not dead despite cancer and two heart attacks.
