You can send a formal letter requesting that all your data be deleted, stating that you can’t log in and do not agree with their ToS. Theoretically they have to do it. Good luck.
Oppenheimer IMAX is everywhere
As I was gonna pay for shit in the first place lol.
If you use .iso files you will be missing out in quality and availability. If a better version of something you already burned is released, you will miss on that too.
If you use .mkv files, then why bother with discs in the first place? HDD in network and access everything, everywhere at any time.
If you start to scale to TBs, the price per GB of HDDs starts to drop dramatically. Look for refurbished HDDs in eBay.
The only real reason I can think of where physical beats digital is for playing the FEL DV layer on some UHD releases. But even then, there are ways to circumvent that.

I’m also in Germany. I use PIA which has been proven in court to be no-log. The setup is not as smooth as others (Port Forwarding requieres some scripting) but it is also one of the cheapest.
You can pay with crypto.
Nobody mentioned Popcorn Time? It is a bit torrent client with an integrated media player. It does exactly what you are asking + it has a great “poster wall” interface.
Fuck man this was one of my favorite trackers. I hope they get the situation under control.
I have private trackers and Usenet and my quality profiles in the *arrs mostly always pick from torrents. I will cancel my Usenet subscription. I also kinda like the grind of private trackers just for the heck of it.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAWHAHAHAHAHQHAHAHAHAHAHQHQHhahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahah………………
Yes you could but then every time you need to service your Pi your whole house will be left without internet.
For me personally it was a great decision to move my containers from the Pi with pihole to a dedicated media server. I did not ever get a warning that resources were low again and I have no unrelated downtime.
As a bonus, I also have the Pi VPN in there, so I can basically restart my media server remotely and not lose connection :D
You don’t technically need a NAS, the Pi can be it, but you’d need a usb 3 enclosure (way cheaper than a NAS). But honestly just let your pihole be your pihole and don’t mess with it. You may wanna get a pi zero and use that as your DNS and your old pi as a Plex server.
Since you are asking in c/piracy, just download it. Either Blu-ray RIP or Web-DL (ripped from streaming services) will have far better quality than a DVD RIP. Unless is something unique, there is no real benefit in doing the leg work yourself.
If you want max bit-rate or lossless sound get a Blue-Ray remux. Otherwise WEB-DL looks as good for most people and weights a fraction.
Right? Like I’d go write Harry Potter 8 and then sue WB lol that guy is nuts.
Because what I said in the first paragraph. If your provider is not a proven no-logger, get another one.
I’ve heard from Italian friends that been doing it for ever and nothing happened.
As long as your VPN provider is a proven no-logger, just go with the best performance.
But if you really want to pick countries, Eastern Europe, Italy and Switzerland just to name a few. If you are in the US I wouldn’t be crossing the pond with my VPN but that’s up to you.
Trash is for setting up, wiki for troubleshooting.
DynDNS? I’m not 100% sure what CF Tunnel does, but from my 2 min reading it seems that DynDNS would accomplish what OP described just as well.
