If the devs are socialist-leaning then it tracks. Put it this way they also satirise the use of “authoritarian” to describe socialists in the game, which means they’re definitely left of lib.
The devs absolutely are left-leaning, the whole thing started as an in-joke in their office. They even make it explicit that super-earth doesn’t develop any tech of it’s own, they just steal it.
