    What’s up with these folks continuing to refer to the previous president as President Trump, while calling the calling the current one all sorts of derogatory and hateful nicknames.

      Well, the first part is semi traditional. Ex presidents being called president is fairly common.

      The second part is because assholes.

        It’s a stupid tradition that should end, though, especially because of genuinely heinous ex-presidents like him and Dubya who have committed numerous crimes against humanity and thus don’t deserve to be honored in any way.

      I didn’t even call him president when he was in office. Same with Bush Jr who was selected by the supreme court. Naw fuck both those asshats and yes of course I realise I’m using hateful nicknames

      Technically speaking, it’s customary to continue to call all former presidents President, but it seems they take it to the next level.
