I have vinyl flooring in my place and hate it. It’s stinky, picks up dents like crazy, isn’t repairable, and gets weirdly sticky after washing or if it gets too humid which is basically always since I live in the Maritimes. The rest of the place is carpet that’s probably older than I am, and it’s unfixably gross.
On the other hand, the hardwood parquet flooring in the downstairs of my parents’ house is older than Canada and it looks brand new because it’s been refinished and reassembled. The upstairs wood is from the 1950s and similarly looks great, without any painstaking effort.
Simply don’t get tenacious oils on it, be sure nobody ever walks on it with shoes without wiping off on an effective doormat first, and NEVER EVER LOOK IN THE CRACKS
idk i dont have these issues. there barely are any cracks in mine, it’s very snug, and it cleans just fine. if you google “easiest type of floor to clean” literally every result says vinyl lol
i like vinyl though, it’s not hard to clean
