Arrrrr…
For those of you missing rarbg, infinity has encoded it and released it on torrentgalaxy.
Guardians.Of.The.Galaxy.Vol.3.2023.1080p.WEBRip.x265-INFINITY
Wow, busy download… Downloading at 150KB/s, uploading at 15MB/s
Setup the big screen for viewing tonight and it was a bust. This version would not play on either my projector or the Firestick using VLC player, normally they play all my x265 HEVC, and more. It was a bust. I will have to find another rip. I am not sold on INFINITY, unfortunately.
Strange, and apologies my suggestion didn’t work for you… I play everything through Kodi and i’ve not had any issues with their releases… I’d be interested to know if you’ve had problems with RARBG-X265 releases?
Not your fault and sorry if it came across as accusatory. Oddly it did play on my computer using VLC. I just wonder if they encoded a bit differently than RARBG?
No. I had no issues with RARBG x265 releases. This is a first.
i think there are differences, but i don’t know what… infinity did post their encoding settings int he early releases but then said that they would be the same moving forward and stopped… so i guess it’s just a matter of comparing a rarbg release and an infinity
Thank you, found it, grabbing it!!
Enjoy, infinity seems to be the closest we have to rarbg quality / size for x265 at the moment… although they took a small break which worried a few people :)
Looking forward to this. Didn’t see it at the cinemas. So going to enjoy it tonight with some popcorn, a 4K tv and 5.1 sound setup. The next best thing!
Yeah, I have an LG HD projector and a screen I pull down from the ceiling with 5.1 surround, and my popcorn isn’t stored in garbage bags and reused the next day. 😉 Insta-theater!
I presume it’s cool to post magnet links in here?
Yeah iirc dbzer0 is super chill about this
In plain text or do we need to base64 them?
Plain text i believe
put it in plain text, if you get a warning, protest or change instance.
Torrent leech has it! Thx for the tip
Yes but some of the 4K ones are in split rar format so you need to extract after downloading. Bit inconvenient but annoying for sure.
I despise individually RARed files. It’s so needless
Scene release, scene rules.
The scene rules state not to RAR up files but dumbshits do it anyway.
Can’t wait for better quality, also which tracker has it dropped on?
Most of the big players now, The bay, TorrentDownloads, LimeTorrents, etc.
I miss my rarbg. Anything that fills the void on quality?
Have you looked at yify torrents at yts.mx
These are super compressed, 4k looks worse than 1080p good quality videos
Sadly, so do I. I have been getting most of my stuff off The Bay and occassionally LimeTorrents, but nothing beat the RARBG releases.
It’s also been On netmovies.to as well like the day it came out in theaters. Not in 4k quality but still in 1080p on some servers. Definitely in more then good enough quality to watch and not cringe on it being super compressed or pixelated. I just stream for the most part don’t know to much about torrents or downloading but I do know u can download streams from that site if anyone prefers downloading.
You are talking about cam versions - this is a webrip. Not comparable.
Yeah that’s a CAM. Not the same thing. Most movies get cam copies online within a day or so of being in theatres.
Warning, there’s one on 1337x. to (26.6gb) that has a weird pink filter on top, you can see it on the screenshots on the torrent page. Just pick another one or try on TorrentGalaxy. to
I believe you’re referring to ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 2023 2160p WEB-DL DDP5 1 Atmos HDR DV HEVC-CMRG’
The HDR DV part of the title denotes that the file is “High Dynamic Range + Dolby Vision”. The reason you’re seeing the pink, or sometimes green, filter is because of the Dolby Vision HDR layer on this file.
This file is sourced from Disney+ and if you had a DV supported display, they would serve this version of the file for you. Otherwise, they would serve a SDR, or Standard Dynamic Range, version of the same movie for displays that don’t support DV or has it disabled. I recommend that if you’re grabbing 2160p files, you take care to see whether you’re grabbing a HDR version.
In your case, I would almost always go with non-HDR and non-DV, sometimes it could be both, sometimes it could be either one. Ideally, grab a release that doesn’t included both of those terms and you should have the SDR version. 1080p can also have HDR, but very rarely DV so you only really need to care about this when it’s 4k
Use MPV to play it. It should make it proper hdr or sdr depending on your screen
Thats the dolby vision layer. You would need a compatible device to play it.
