In Ahsoka Part 7, Baylan had a lightsaber duel with Ahsoka on Peridea after he abandoned Shin and his plans to join Thrawn's empire. He is being contacted by...
It’s a good channel!
Better than most right-wing Star Wars YouTube channels…
Either Dawsons acting, the script or the direction is terrible. 90% of what she does is cross her arms and give knowing glances and smirks. And i know she CAN act so that makes it more disappointing. Her character is so fucking flat emotionally. And the fact that Sabine continuously refuses to tell people answers to questions is absurd.

Sabine doesn’t see Ezra for ten fucking years, he asks questions about what has happened since then and she’s just like “oh let’s not talk about that now.” She exists only to make the plot continue. Also her living through a lightsaber stabbing was pretty funny.
it’s not great, feels a bit fan-servicey at times and a bit directionless otherwise, strange dialogue here and there… action sequences feel simultaneously under-edited and over-dramaticized (theyre going for that anime-style stare-down battle thing sometimes, without doing any of the editing to make that look dramatic). Also feels surprisingly uncentered on Ahsoka, often it’s other characters driving the plot and she’s along for the ride. If anything it’s the Sabine show, really
re thrawn
very very funny how they adapted him as this unsexy slop-bod sorta guy with hanging shoulders and a belly. He’s presented like the Nazi general that he is, but less like a gushing fantasy of one, which seems to be upsetting some fans.
I love it for the aesthetics alone. I love the knight vs samurai visual themes. All the costumes and characters look amazing. The choreography is top notch. It’s pure space fantasy and I’m here for it.
As far as negatives… I did not watch rebels so a lot of the plot feels like watching the final movie of a trilogy I haven’t seen, which doesn’t feel great, but thats on me.
How’s everyone enjoying the show, by the way?

I give the show a C grade.
Mega oof.

That last part is a good thing, however.
yeah, it’s got its moments
there’s a lot to like about many of the aesthetic decisions in the show more generally too.
It’s stylish, even if it doesn’t pull it off all the time all the way. It’s not a terrible show, but it’s no Andor either
That’s… actually an area that I don’t like.
Everything’s too… dark, surprisingly.
Are you coming into this, having watched Rebels previously? Cause I believe that shift in tone and idk gravitas would be jarring somewhat.
I never finished Rebels; never liked it.
I liked The Clone Wars though.

For me, I didn’t like Rebels but I loved The Clone Wars.
