    waterbears are awesome. they’re the first thing i show kids how to hunt when i do microscope demonstrations. they’re small enough to require a microscope, they’re big enough to not require any real slide prep or focusing skills, and they’re all over the place, findable in any drop of puddle water or aquatic environment. plus they’re pretty cute.
