I fucking wish everyone that could do it for their job would threaten to resign over remote work, we’d have it overnight like it was 2020 again.
I did this years ago and now I’m the only remote worker on the team. Sometimes I feel bad, but as soon as they agreed to let me go fully remote I moved across the country. I guess I’ve been there long enough that it’s too hard to replace me? Idk but I tried to get everyone else to refuse going back and no one else stuck with it like I did

I have a friend who is about to quit her job with the VA. She got hired under Biden as a remote employee doing phone assistance for vets. They told her last week she had to start going into an office she had never been to. It’s one thing to get yelled at by old racists trying to use a medical insurance system that has been purposefully kneecapped in your own house, but having to do that in an office was too much.
