This great song is a bit of forgotten 80’s that deserves a mention. Benjamin Orr was the lead singer & bassist on most of The Cars early work which made them popular. He passed away in 2000.

    Ric Ocasek was the main songwriter but he didn’t really take over vocal duties until “Shake It Up” happened. My first exposure to The Cars was around that time, so I assumed that Ric was always the lead singer. In reality, most of the songs that I like the best were sung by Ben Orr.

        It was used in Fast Times At Ridgemont High in the scene where Pheobe Cates goes topless. That burned it into my young brain more than any radio airplay ever would have.
