My hope for the future is that the Trump administration and his choices for leadership positions will be so incompetent, will be such a failure, that it fails in supplying Israel with assistance (weapons, diplomatic cover internationally, and political cover domestically) allowing Gazans to finally have peace and the space rebuild along with consequences for Israel (sanctions, isolation, arrest of leaders and war criminals).
It’s going to be a whole different story for American public.
my hope is that trump is enough to catalyze us into finally doing something; it’s probably the last chance for us (presuming that our last chance wasn’t the election itself).

US 2 party oligarchy system can’t produce solution to the rise of fascism specially since their policies are so closely tied in so many basic issues.
But sadly people think the majority of the voters who willingly voted for a convicted criminal, can just wake up one day and find empathy and lose their deeply rooted hate.
i’m and american liberal and both lemmy & tiktok have made me aware that liberals and conservatives are 2 sides of the same fucked up coin. i’m also i’m under no illusion that americans won’t change anytime soon.
trump’s aspirations in his last term were thwarted by my ruling class’ desire to maintain the status quo. trump now has nouveau oligarchs and political think tanks supporting him (unlike last time and at least for now); which will help enable to him to succeed this time around.
