Reuters can be so irritating, they are great at coming off objectively. They technically have the general facts correct but the way this is framed to me shows so much of the media’s bias towards Israel. They say Israel denies the allegations of genocide, not bothering to mention there is widespread scholarly consensus on the matter, not mentioning that the majority of those killed are women and children when talking about the numbers, saying “Hamas killed 1200” when it’s likely many of the deaths of Israelis were from friendly fire.

    And this paragraph:

The ban, which authorities extended for another four days until Thursday, has been in place since Friday after attacks on Israeli soccer supporters following a soccer match between visiting Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ajax Amsterdam.

Why were the Maccabi fans attacked? Does that not seem like relevant context for a journalist to mention? To their credit they do briefly mention, buried further down “visiting Israeli fans burned a Palestinian flag and used sticks, pipes and rocks in clashes with opponents” but the overall picture they paint makes it sound like there are roaming anti-Jewish mobs in Amsterdam.
