The Nvidia Shield TV still holds up four years after its debut, but in 2023, it’s clear the product is due for a refresh.

    I just want a SHIELD with AV1 hardware decoding, full-spec HDMI 2.1 (with 4K 120Hz VRR) and HDR10+ support (the 2019 SHIELD models support Dolby Vision and standard HDR10, but not HDR10+). I personally also prefer Android TV over Google TV (due to not forcing a Google account to use).
