at least it’s snapdragon, not mediatek, it’s important efficiency wise, but yeah, cameras are still meh, also charger isn’t in the box, I wonder how many users will buy fake 100W chargers from aliexpress and burn their houses

anyway, don’t believe their fake AI bullshit, it’s only a buzzword for some algorithms etc

Mediatek makes good processors. It’s not like the old days. The flagship dimensity 9300+ for example is more efficient compared to snapdragon 8 gen 3. Plus, you can’t always be sure with snapdragon releasing heaters like 8 gen 1, 888, or the infamous 810.

But, yeah 7+gen3 is superior to most everything except flagship hardware.

Mediatek phones never get custom ROMs since Mediatek refuses to publish the necessary packages although the Android license demands it

The Nord 3 did very well with the Dimensity 9000, and it had better camera.
A Dimensity 9200+ would have been better, that’s competitive to Snapdragon 8 gen 2.
So unless the Nord 4 is cheaper than Nord 3, I’m not impressed with how they balanced it.

But, this has better power efficiency compared to dimensity 9200+. Using dimensity would’ve meant lower battery life.

OK, then you may prefer the Dimensity 8200 Ultra, this is still faster then Snapdragon 7+ gen3, and more power efficient than Dimensity 9200+, but uses Mali graphics instead of Immortalis, still good for gaming, but not as good as the 9200+, and it’s cheaper too, which could make room for better camera. ;)

7+ gen 3 is superior to both. Dimensity 8300 ultra is superior to 8200 ultra and Dimensity 9200+ is superior to dimensity 8300 and lower.

You were probably thinking about 7+gen 2.

If we are talking about cheap. Dimensity 8300 ultra would’ve been cheaper. But, I guess oneplus wanted the snapdragon name to woo consumers.

The Dimensity 8200 ultra was slightly faster and more power efficient than Dimensity 9200+ in tests of the Xiaomi 13T against the 13T Pro. (except graphics)
They are comparable to Snapdragon 8 gen 2, except the 8200 Ultra doesn’t have as strong GPU as the 9200+.
AFAIK Both are faster than Snapdragon 7+ gen 3.

The Dimensity 8300 Ultra is another league: https://beebom.com/snapdragon-7-gen-3-vs-dimensity-8300-benchmark/

You are confused. That article is talking about snapdragon 7 gen 3 on Nord CE 4. I’m talking about Nord 4 which runs on 7+gen3. Which is nearly twice as fast as regular 7 gen 3 which is a midrange Soc.

OK, I looked at the link you provided, and the Dimensity 9200+ is rated faster than the Snapdragon 7+ gen 3 with a score of:

                  1. box (Cyan) 199,1 vs 178,9 Mobile phone/tablet chip comprehensive performance ranking
                  2. box (blue) 146,8 vs 146,2 (even) Mobile phone/tablet chip CPU performance ranking
                  3. box (yellow) 321,8 vs 255 Mobile phone/tablet chip GPU performance ranking
                  4. box (red) 120,8 vs 114,5 Mobile phone/tablet chip GPU performance ranking

So the Dimensity 9200+ is similar in CPU speed, and the 8200 Ultra is similar in CPU speed to 9200+ (slightly faster), according to tests between Xiaomi 13T (Dimensity 8200 Ultra) and Xiaomi 13T Pro (Dimensity 9200+).

PS it’s a very cool page, so I made the effort to translate what the numbers actually were. Thanks for good info. ;)

Damned! I was sure it said 7+, I’ve been looking quite a lot for it, and even put the “Snapdrogon 7+ gen 3” in quotes searching for it.

Then I have to apologize, that I can’t even find a comparative speedtest!? And I couldn’t read the Chinese one you linked.

Happens. The chinese one is based on geekerwan results. Unfortunately, they do not have English translations. You can try pasting the website with google translate or taking a screenshot and doing a translate with google lens or a translate app from google or Microsoft.
