Is this a kind of post that interests anyone? Bandcamp’s editorial staff has introduced me to a ton of really cool music from scenes I’ve never been exposed to, so I thought I’d spread em around.
How has bandcamp been fairing since the latest buyout?
I’ve come across this musician owned alternative called Mirlo that sprung up recently as well, does anyone have any experience using it? (as a fan or artist, I’m interested either way)
I think other than that initial set of layoffs (which sucks shit and did focus mostly on the editorial staff), it’s stayed the same so far. They’ve still been doing bandcamp fridays regularly where bandcamp doesn’t take a cut from sales.
Good to hear the format hasn’t been messed with too much, so far at least
