There are things you can say, I’m sure, that are positive about the country. There are also many things, you can say, that aren’t. Playing in Saudi Arabia means these players have given up their voices. You will not here any socially conscious remarks from anyone playing there. It’s a black hole for human rights and anyone that accepts a contract feeds into it. As I’ve heard it called before, Saudi Arabia is sportswashing and we shouldn’t let a couple of footballers or golfers try to convince us otherwise
