Definitely overkill for just a calendar app but the great thing about NextCloud is once you spin it up there’s probably an integration for the next 5 FOSS solutions you’re looking for, which means fewer containers to manage in Docker.
Nextcloud 🤷♂️
It looks like when you take the loaf out of the grocery bag and it’s kinda dented so you let it sit on the counter to get its shape back.

It’s just a skit suggesting that the lighthearted goofiness associated with modern Japanese culture is a mask to make society forget the atrocities committed during 20th century. It made me chuckle. I’m sure you can find it on any app that does shorts.

If your video file is Japanese language use a whisper model optimized for Japanese. Once it produces the Japanese srt you can get translations from open ai. Use handbrake to add the srt to the file and you’re done. Good luck!
I maintain my own media library and I ensure every file has English and German subtitles. There are a variety of ways to source srt files but when all else fails a machine with enough compute can transcribe video files using open source whisper. After I generate an English srt file from the video I send it to OpenAI to create the German translation.
I have a workflow that translates English srt files to my desired target language. It’s a great use case bc LLMs are proficient at picking up the nuances of language translations, especially related to idioms and the like.
